Telekom Malaysia Uses AMPC
Telekom Malaysia is using AMPC to port their expert system based forecasting software written in C to the JVM. The more than 250 source files including CLIPS expert system package written in C have been compiled with AMPC and run successfully on the JVM.

Axiomatic Solutions Sdn Bhd Receives Government Grant

Axiomatic Solutions Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian company, has received a grant for research, design, and implementation of a C Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for the Java Virtual Machine (JVM). The grant has been awarded by Multimedia Development Corporation (MDC), a company owned by the Malaysian government.

The product, known as AMPC (Axiomatic Multi-Platform C), is an Integrated Development Environment whose C language compiler generates Java bytecodes to be run on any Java Virtual Machine (JVM). This allows programmers to develop applications using the popular C language and run them on JVMs. This approach allows developers to create new systems, or to upgrade existing systems, while they obtain the advantages of the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) but retain the familiar C language of the source program.
