Installation guide for Linux (Demo version)

Download ampc-linux-1.x.x.tar.gz file from www.axiomsol.com. Once downloaded, the compressed file will have to be unpacked using the following commands;
-tar or extract ampc-linux-1.x.x.tar.gz

$ tar -xvzf ampc-linux-1.x.x.tar.gz

After extracting all the compressed files, you can start the
installation process.
-To install, go to directory ampc-linux-1.x.x

$ cd ampc-linux-1.x.x

Then execute the installation program
by issuing the following command;

$ ./install.sh

To un-install, execute the following command:

$ ./uninstall.sh


The install script will install the relevant files onto
user's home directory and set the correct permisisons on
the files so that users can access and run AMPC.

The script also add a line in ~/.bashrc and ~/.cshrc to
set shell environment for AMPC.

If you are using KDE, you can access ampc by go to:

Start Applications>>Development>>More Programs>>
Axiomatic Multi-Platform C

The shell environment for first time install may not being
automaticly loaded unless you re-initialize ampc profile script.
To initialize, follow the step below:

For bash shell:

$ source $HOME/ampc/bin/ampc.sh

For csh shell:
$ source $HOME/ampc/bin/ampc.csh

Note:
-----
All files and packages have been pre-compiled using
glibc version 2.3.2 on Intel x86 machine.

To install Java please download J2SE from SUN Microsystem's website at http://java.sun.com, or from Blackdown's website at http://www.blackdown.org
