The minimum version of JDK needed for AMPC is JDK 1.4.2 and JDK 5.0 is recommended. The latest version, JDK 5.0 Update 6 can be downloaded from

The minimum drive space for JDK 5.0 installation is about 132 MB.

2.0 Installation/Uninstallation

AMPC installer can be downloaded from http://www.axiomsol.com. Before you proceed with the installation, you need to login as an administrator user in Windows XP.

Click the AMPC installer and it will install all the packages in the specified directory C:\Program Files \AMPC directory. During the installation, these are the packages that will be installed:
- Ampcgui IDE
- AMPC compiler
- Jasmin\r\n-Cygwin
- Standard C libraries
- TCP/IP libraries
- ODBC libraries
- Graphics libraries

When the installation is done, you need to restart your computer before
you can start using AMPC.

To uninstall AMPC, open the Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Program and choose AMPC to remove.

NOTICE:
The AMPC engine (accom-jvm) for the MS Windows platform is compiled using MinGW. It does not use Cygwin''s DLL whatsoever. This is in order to maintain the proprietary status of the C compiler. Meanwhile, all the source code of the other AMPC components (such as ampc-gui, scintilla, ald, acc-jvm) which have been compiled for MS Windows using Cygwin can be obtained from our download page in compliance with the conditions set by Cygwin.

To install Java please download J2SE from SUN Microsystem's website at http://java.sun.com
